Located near the bustling city and travel hub Sao Paulo, JCB Brazil is an exciting place to be. Brazil is one of the top five agricultural exporters in the world and our machines are helping the industry at every step of the way. With 650 employees, the factory manufactures Backhoe Loaders, Telescopic Handlers, Wheel Loaders and Excavators, plus there are some exciting new products planned in for the coming months and years.
You’ll find the majority of employees based in the nearby city of Sorocaba which is popular because it has a wide variety of excellent restaurants, hotels and shops, plus benefits from great public transport and quiet roads.
Living abroad has improved my worldview. It’s helped me face different challenges and given me the curiosity to look for better solutions. I started my JCB journey at JCB Brazil and took an international move within JCB because I wanted to leave my comfort zone, experience a different culture and learn to do business with different people.
My wife came with me when I was invited to move to Chile. At the time, we had no children, and it was our first experience living abroad. During our stay in Chile, Lorenzo, our first son, was born. I was later invited to move to Mexico, so moved again. Here, my second son, Pietro, was born.
Mexico is a big country and Mexico City is one of most populated cities in the world. They have a diverse culture that took time to adjust to. People are friendly and kind, and the food is really spicy!
My family is very happy here. I’m lucky that my kids were born in different countries and can learn from different cultures.
Working internationally has taught me to challenge the status quo and has increased my self-confidence. Not having ties with local culture is an advantage and gives me a different perspective on things. It helps me to bring improvement by questioning actions and processes.
